Tahini Dressing

This is a super simple, nutrient dense dressing option. I love using this over salads - it pairs perfectly with my Roast Vegetable Salad! Tahini paste is made from ground sesame seeds, which are one of the richest sources of dietary calcium, among other nutrients like protein, healthy fats, zinc and selenium. They are a great food to include in the diet particularly during phases of rapid growth like pregnancy and childhood.

Just remember that sesame is a potential allergen, so be cautious if consuming this dressing around your baby for the first time.

Ingredients

1/2 cup hulled tahini

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

Juice of 1/2 lemon

1/2 garlic clove

Salt to taste

Filtered water to achieve desired consistency

Method

Add all ingredients to a medium sized jar. Stir until well combined, adding water slowly to achieve desired consistency (more water if you like a more runny dressing).
